Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before making a booking through Saunafinder.fi. By completing a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Us

Saunafinder.fi is an online booking platform operated by Ricky Knowles, based in Finland. We connect English-speaking visitors with authentic Finnish sauna experiences by listing sauna venues and processing bookings on their behalf.

2. Bookings

2.1 When you submit a booking request through Saunafinder.fi, your card is authorised for the booking amount but not charged until the sauna operator confirms your booking.

2.2 The operator will confirm or decline your booking within 24 hours. You will receive an email notification either way.

2.3 If the operator confirms your booking, your card will be charged and you will receive a confirmation email with your booking details.

2.4 If the operator declines your booking, your card authorisation is released immediately and you will not be charged. The hold may take 1–5 business days to clear depending on your bank.

2.5 If the operator does not respond within 24 hours, your booking will be automatically cancelled and your card will not be charged.

2.6 Bookings are subject to availability and are not guaranteed until you receive a written confirmation email from Saunafinder.fi.

3. Pricing and Payment

3.1 All prices shown on Saunafinder.fi are in Euros (EUR). Saunafinder.fi is not currently VAT-registered, so no VAT is added to the prices shown.

3.2 Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Saunafinder.fi does not store your card details.

3.3 The price shown at the time of booking is the price you will be charged. No additional fees are added at checkout.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

4.1 If you wish to cancel a confirmed booking, please contact us at info@saunafinder.fi as soon as possible.

4.2 Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the booking time are eligible for a full refund.

4.3 Cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking time are eligible for a 50% refund of the amount paid.

4.4 If the sauna operator cancels your confirmed booking for any reason, you will receive a full refund regardless of when the cancellation occurs.

4.5 Refunds are processed back to your original payment method and typically take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.

5. Your Responsibilities

5.1 You are responsible for arriving at the correct sauna at the correct time on your booking date.

5.2 You must comply with the sauna operator's rules and any health or safety requirements they specify.

5.3 You must be of legal age to use the sauna facilities as required by the operator or Finnish law.

5.4 Saunafinder.fi is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of a sauna facility. You use the facilities at your own risk.

6. Our Liability

6.1 Saunafinder.fi acts as a booking intermediary only. We are not the operator of any sauna listed on our platform and are not responsible for the quality, safety, or availability of the experience provided.

6.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saunafinder.fi's liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the booking in question.

6.3 Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

7. Complaints

7.1 If you experience a problem with your sauna booking or the experience provided, please contact us at info@saunafinder.fi and we will do our best to help resolve the issue with the operator.

7.2 We aim to respond to all complaints within 2 business days.

8. Privacy

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By making a booking, you consent to your name, email, phone number, and booking details being shared with the relevant sauna operator for the purpose of fulfilling your booking.

9. Changes to These Terms

Saunafinder.fi reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Finland.
